Union Station Saxophone

Words from the Artist

My name is Caleb Lopez. I play the saxophone and I make field recordings. This recording came about mostly by accident. I was heading home from a rehearsal one evening and I missed my train. It was nice and warm outside, and so I decided to get out my instrument and play in one of the far corners of the station. The buildings tall archways caught the sounds of the city and smeared it together with my saxophone. I liked the sound of it all, and so I got out my recorder and improvised for a while until my train came in. Listening back to these sounds from 2018 captures a mood for me and reminds me of a nice night. Thank you for listening.
